  2. Send an update about the current status of this plugin

The link to AppSource isn't resolving and I'm not finding it in the Office store. Is this app still supported?

  3. Make it clear whether you support Excel 2013 for Desktop

    Hi,

The add-in provides feature I am waiting for, as a user of Excel in french and in english on different computer. However I am really confused whether the add-in currently supports Excel 2013 or not.

This article (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/excel-functions-translator-f262d0c0-991c-485b-89b6-32cc8d326889?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US) only listed "Excel for Office 365, Excel 2019, Excel 2016". When I follow the steps to install add-in on Excel 2013, I got an error "Cette application n'a pas pu être démarrée" (EN : This application cannot be started).

Back in March 23, 2018 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/garage/blog/2018/03/new-garage-project-enables-excel-users-to-work-seamlessly-with-functions-and-formulas-across-all-translated-versions-of-excel/), Excel 2013 is listed amongst supported version of Excel.

    Is there a…

  4. Accept English formula in any localized Excel version

Not so much about the function translator, which is a great start, but I cannot understand why localized version would not accept the English version of a formula when typing and yet it KNOWS the function.
This is clearly shown since you can open any file created in an English environment in any localized version. So why not just accept the English formula straight away in Excel?

  5. Ensure Function Translator translates correctly

    A good initiative!

There are many problems however. I my local language (Danish) I have until now experienced problems with the translation (both ways) of ADDRESS, TEXT, DATE and INFO, and there are also problems with the delimiters. I can give details if needed.

  6. Add function translator to the Excel context menu?

    Hi,
I played with function translator (with Dutch Excel 2016). I like the tool. Perhaps it can be made even more accessible by adding a some options to the cell context menu (when you right-click on a cell) like:
    - Copy formula to translator
    - Copy translated formula back to cell.

Now I have to make sure the correct cell is selected and than press the copy button in the translator tool.

Maybe these context menu items can only be visible when the user has the function translator tool open, in this way the the context menu will not get…
